With so much to choose from touring holidays in Scotland can sometimes just be too busy! Why not theme your break and spend a few days of your holiday on the trail of something special? Suggested trails and tours in the Lochaber area:
Castles and Historic Places – everything from atmospheric ruins to full restored and inhabited castles, many offer guided tours. Revisit an age of bloodthirsty history and romantic lore.
Whisky – start here in Fort William at The Ben Nevis Distillery where they host whisky tours. Then take a trip to the back along Loch Linnhe to Oban where the town distillery and visitor centre is worth a visit.
Beaches and Bays – the Highlands of Scotland has many beautiful beaches to be discovered. Close to the hotel you will find Cuil Bay and Ardsheal Bay. Hop in the car and explore a little further to find enchanting beaches at Morar, Arisaig, Adrnamurchan and Kingairloch.
Islands and Island Hopping – charter a boat or catch a ferry to enjoy the many beautiful Islands which litter the West Coast. Mull, Iona, Skye, Lismore and Easdale are all fine destinations for great days out.
