The Highlands of Scotland are home to a staggering variety of flora, fauna and wildlife. In fact, nature is all around us here in Glencoe and Lochaber.
The hills and lochs are home to deer, pine-marten, otters, wildcat, Golden Eagles, herons, ducks and occasionally porpoises. There are many local spots where you can enjoy excellent birdwatching and perhaps spot a seal or two as well.
There are many species of wild flower which flourish here and visitors are treated to spectacular displays of bluebells in spring.
Local attractions we recommend include The Rare Breeds Park, The Sea Life Centre, The Glorious Gardens of Argyll and The National Trust Visitor Centre in Glencoe.
