The rugged landscapes of the Highlands of Scotland provide excellent routes and trails for cycling and mountain biking.
Cycle routes are abundant and vary in length and difficulty and discounted bike hire is available from Lochaber Watersports, situated right next door to The Isles of Glencoe Hotel & Leisure Centre.
Enjoy a leisurely family cycle on the quiet island of Lismore where beautiful scenery, wildlife and historic landmarks are abundant.
We also recommend Leanachan Forest, at Nevis Range, north of Fort William which really is mountain biking heaven. Here you will find over 25 miles of routes from family trials to testing race routes. Experienced adrenaline seekers could dare to try the downhill track which is accessed by the mountain gondola and descends 2000ft in 3km! Not for the faint hearted.
The Highland roads and trails are also perfect for motor biking and we welcome clubs on holidays and tours of this big country area.
