The Ballachulish Hotel is just off the main A82 Glasgow to Fort William Road, situated 400yds from the Oban (A828) roundabout underneath the Bridge. Coming from Glasgow or Stirling you will pass by the village of Ballachulish and will come to a roundabout. Take the right hand (Oban) exit. If you cross the Ballachulish Bridge you’ve gone wrong! If coming from the North you will pass over the Ballachulish Bridge then come to the same roundabout. Take the left hand (Oban) exit. If you reach the village of Ballachulish again you’ve taken the wrong exit. If you are travelling from Oban you will see the Bridge ahead of you and the hotel is right by the road.
For local road conditions call reservations on 0871 222 3460or visit ITV teletext page 160. On our website you will also find links to local weather forecasts and route maps.
When you arrive at The Ballachulish Hotel, we have two car parks, one to the front and one to the side and rear of the hotel. We suggest that you leave your bags in the car until you know where your room is as there may be a more advantageous parking place. There are a small number of car parking spaces right at the front door on the opposite side of the road - we don’t recommend parking here as crossing the road can be hazardous and passing cars have an unfortunate tendency of crashing into vehicles left here. Please ask if you would like any help with your luggage - we have porters available.
Your bedroom will be available from 3pm on your specified day of arrival and will be guaranteed for your first night only. If you arrive earlier we will be delighted to store your bags for you.
On your day of departure we would ask that you vacate your room by 11am. We do offer a late checkout facility up to 1pm at an additional cost of £10.00 per hour. This must be confirmed to Reception before 8am on the morning of departure.
The Ballachulish Hotel is a Highland hotel where we invite you to “make yourself at home”. As an 18th Century listed building, the hotel itself consists of a turreted baronial style old wing alongside a stylish new wing. At the heart of the Hotel you will find the lively and casual Bùlas Bar & Bistro, where days and nights pass easily alongside the log-fire that roars all year. The hotel has a friendly informality about it suited to those on holiday in the area. There is no dress code for the restaurant where people enjoy dressing up or down!
The Ballachulish Hotel is a non-smoking establishment.
